Gelince Haber VerAllāh Ta‘ālā says in Sūrah al-Māidah, āyah 35: “O you who have believed, fear Allāh and seek wasīlah (the means of nearness) to Him and strive in His cause so that you may succeed.” Haḍrat Ismā‘īl Ḥaqqi Bursawī interpreted this āyah in his tafsīr book, Rūḥ al-Bayān: “The āyah al-karīmah clearly and explicitly orders to seek a wasīlah (means), which proves that it is necessary. Because the riḍā (pleasure, contentment) of Allāh Ta‘ālā is only obtained through a wasīlah. And the wasīlah are the scholars of truth and the shuyūkh of the ṭarīqahs…”
This book was prepared compiling information from reliable books, providing information about the lives, manqabats, karāmāt (non-prophetical saintly miracles) and wise sayings of the Silsilah al-Sādāt al-Naqshbandiyyah notables.
At the beginning of the biography of each murshid-e kāmil, we added a map showing their places of birth and qabr-e sharīf (shrine), images of their graves, masājid (mosques) and madrassahs, if any. We also added another larger map at the end of the book, showing the places where all their Qabr-e Sharīfs are located.
It is stated in a hadīth al-sharīf, “When the righteous servants of Allāh Ta‘ālā are mentioned in a place, rahmah (mercy) descends there.” The awliyā (friends) of Allah and ‘ulamā (scholars) have stated that to love these blessed people, to know their lives, manqabats (virtues, outstanding traits) and sayings, and at least to learn their names bring along many spiritual benefits. We present this book hoping to be blessed with Allāh Ta‘ālā’s rahmah and the Shafā‘ah (intercession) of these blessed, righteous people.
